Good honest ad. . Won't be long up for sale I'd say !
Yeah prefer to be honest about it. Hoping a buyer appreciates the honesty. It really is a car I will be sad to see go. 7.5 years with it and it never has missed a beat. Just want a change now so have a motor ready to pick up up north this weekend.

    Nice car and decent price.

Do yourself a favour though and take out the photos of the scratches and dings. They look so minor and irrelevant for a 04 reg car. Also take out the mention of a new headlight.

I wonder if boiling water would take out the dent?

I put in the headlight thing so people know money has been spent on this right to the end to make sure its looked after. I didnt want to sell without the NCT done and needed to spend a little bit to get this right.
Also kind of just have the pics in as they are minor but guess just being open about any minor faults it has. It really is a great car, could not ask for better reliability. Garage even said the engine and emissions are perfect which is great for a 13 year old car.

I'll pass on the shoes but that car of yours is tempting, for sure. I could see myself buying it off you.

    Good motor for someone.

Is it a UK import? Just wondering with the breaklight in the bumper or are they all like that .

No an Irish motor. That's the rear fog light on the bumper.

Ok no luck but all good as in same situation as before so all good. Very difficult to get behind the bumper and to push out and no plunger or similar device to try pull it. With more time and daylight it may happen if I can take out the wheel well liner to get inside the bumper. Busy weekend so doubtful will attempt this

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,644 ✭✭✭✭punisher5112

Kettle trick works but you must push from behind while doing it.

I've done it on few cars years ago worked a treat.

If you're tasty with a heat gun you might get it out but be very careful not to burn or blister the paint

I'd very much say the opposite Duke. Screams of an honest and transparent seller when they make reference to the flaws on a car they are selling and I find it very endearing - tends to give me the impression I'll be dealing with an upfront person. Also if the buyer is made aware of the flaws with pictures before they view they wont be in as good a positon to negotiate a massive chunk off when they view the car in account of said flaws - you know the price and the flaws before they view so they go in that sense you meet accepting that the price takes the flaws into account - You'd be surprised the extent to which people would attempt to use these to try to steal the car from under you even if it is a 13 year old car for the price of 2 weeks wages.

Good luck with the sale chris85. Looks a very decent motor for the money. Be prepared to deal with a load of clowns and toss pots on adverts but I'm sure if you have previously used the site to any great extent you will already know thiseek.png

Not everybodys cup of tea, but I like these. 5 months NCT for €950. It's an Auto, which isn't the best hooked up to that 1.4, but it's a car to cruise in, which kinda suits it.
