There is one of these abandoned on the N4 near Carrick-on-Shannon for the last 2 weeks, that you could probably pick up for free if you so desired. Same colour and all!

Not an entirely practical estate car with four seats, but if you don't have many friends this could be alright for €1195. NCT to the end of 9/17 and tax to €6/17.

'06 Audi A6 V6 petrol auto 2.4l, NCT end 09/17, Irish car, asking €1,950. 1 owner from new. You won't get much off, but you will get a warranty. Lot of car for the money.

Thats a nice find. Shame about the scuff on the bumper. And the buttons - I guarantee every button on the inside is the same! Its a nightmare. We have one at the minute, and its a fine fine car. Diesel though

Yeah the wear on the buttons is weird. Maybe someone with very sweaty (acid) fingers?

    contradictio in terminis :p

The buttons were the same in all of the cars I went to look at.

You'd expect a bit better from a premium make and model all the same!

You need to be doing butylene overmoulding on all switches if you want motoring journalists to praise "build quality"

Doesn't matter if they peel off a few years later. Build quality.

Not bad at all that, I had one for 3 years , now the engine was bullet proof and avged 40mpg but I had to replace :

    Psgr window regulator
    Driver window regulator
    Psgrr door mechansim
    Rear psgr door mechansim
    Driver door mechanism
    Boot release actuator
    Steering rack
    Gearbox
    Auto wiper sensor
    Wiper arm motor

Other than that it was grand :pac:

Interesting but unusual, don't see too many around, what is it, front half vectora, back half? Astra?not quite estate sized, I'd take a punt possibly, petrol engines ok? I haven't heard anything terrible about 1.8 petrol zafiras.

The Signum is based on the Vectra estate body. Bold design choice at the time which didn't take off as especially Germans didn't regard a hatchback as worthy of an executive car. Opel were also just after going through a quality crisis at the time which wasn't the best.

Very comfortable car, I know two Germans who had them and they loved them. Both were big mile company cars.

I saw the concept car back in the day. It had an espresso / coffee machine between the seats, which sadly never took off.

Do yourself a favour though and take out the photos of the scratches and dings. They look so minor and irrelevant for a 04 reg car. Also take out the mention of a new headlight.

I'd very much say the opposite Duke. Screams of an honest and transparent seller when they make reference to the flaws on a car they are selling and I find it very endearing - tends to give me the impression I'll be dealing with an upfront person. Also if the buyer is made aware of the flaws with pictures before they view they wont be in as good a positon to negotiate a massive chunk off when they view the car in account of said flaws - you know the price and the flaws before they view so they go in that sense you meet accepting that the price takes the flaws into account - You'd be surprised the extent to which people would attempt to use these to try to steal the car from under you even if it is a 13 year old car for the price of 2 weeks wages.

Good luck with the sale chris85. Looks a very decent motor for the money. Be prepared to deal with a load of clowns and toss pots on adverts but I'm sure if you have previously used the site to any great extent you will already know thiseek.png
Donedeal better for selling do you think? €8 on there seems ok I guess. Would I have better chance of selling?

    159 jtd 150bhp.
Needs a serious valet inside and a Polish up outside.
300 over budget but I wonder if you turned up with 2k would the seller refuse?

I would say don't assume you won't have clowns ringing you on Donedeal either chris85 as chances are there will be, in particular if selling a car....being there done that. But I would say they are less prevalent on Donedeal than adverts. I'd be inclined to speculate the €8.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,812 ✭✭✭✭bear1

I love the little Italian style front plate!

I think it's class as well, would it be legal if you stuck on a hint of blue at the end as well?
Or just go all out and give it a proper Italian front plate.
Seems to be a Turismo spec and a UK import.

Switch house relay as far I can remember.

    Not expensive.
