Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Philips DVD with jammed tray

    My daughter has a Philips HDD &DVD Player/Recorder (DVDR3460H).

The dvd tray has jammed in the open position.

Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Alternatively, know any agency that would repair it?

I've tried Philips so-called support line but gave up after interminable "All our operators are busy....."

Did you get anywhere with this issue? I am having the same problem with a Philips HTS3580/12. I have tried powering it down overnight and powering it on again (I read somewhere that it would cause a factory reset) but it is stuck still.

Failing to get any response from Phillips I stripped it down and was able to fix it myself. Facing a write-off and scrapping it, I stripped it down and found it was just a mechanical jam. The tray had jumped its carrier. It was simply fixed and is working again.

Glad to hear you managed to do it. I took mine apart last night but found the DVD tray inside was a sealed unit so I could not get to the mechanics of the tray eject/insert. I had hoped that once I had the cover of the DVD player itself that the top side of the DVD tray would be exposed.
