    Hi there.

I got back from Japan and had around 100 quids worth of Yen in my wallet. However it was stolen last night. I have the exact ATM I took it out of in Tokyo as I did the transaction with my debit card. Is it possible to track the notes if someone exchanges them?

    Thanks

Nope. Have to take it on the chin, I'm afraid.

    No absolutely not.

You seem to think that atm's store the serial numbers of money as it dispenses? No this does not happen.

Once cash is lost or stolen it's gone.
