Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Won't happen because Wenger doesn't make substitutions based on how the game is going. Now it's 2-0 we won't be getting that space.

We're really paying the price for Wengers arrogance and naivety.

Koscielny too slow and weak there. Awful defending.

The lads trying out some new concrete boots or something?

Gibbs for me is the worst player tonight

Lack of respect with that team selection tbh. Changing one or two is grand, not half the team.

I feared for us as soon as I saw his name on the teamsheet.

Monreal certainly has nothing to worry about. Pathetic stuff from Gibbs tonight

Could easily end up relying on head-to-head against these in a couple of months, away goal would be nice.

    what a joke

Regardless, they should be good enough to easily win.

    Gutless arsenal

Sometimes I wish I could support Barcelona or Madrid or something. A consistent stream of joy every week from football would be a welcome change as opposed to this.

Only if you are arrogant and underestimate the opposition which Wenger (and many on here) have done.

What the fook was Gibbs at there?

Clearly he is on the front post and then covers away when it arrives??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,404 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

I worry when I see Gibbs in the team.
Hope i'm wrong and he stars.

I was right alas. He jumped for that corner like he felt he was going to get hurt.
    Timid little boy.

Put on theo to exploit the space and put on coq to stop the counters

No excuse IMO. I know you don't mean it as one as such but the players out there, if you believe the "positive" Arsenal fans, should be easily good enough to roll this team over. The entire team looks lethargic and completely uncoached.

Like the subs now? Of course you'll say that it wasn't soon enough, or wrong players, or whatever.

As a Newcastle fan I wish I supported Arsenal. Count yourself lucky. ;)

    Nice to see Arteta off

Triple substitution. First time in a decade.

Why would the players who were switched out from the weekend be any less lethargic or intelligent than those on the field tonight?

Triple change, who says Wenger never reacts? :P

The fabled triple sub planned from the start

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,752 ✭✭✭Mr Blobby

Hopefully that's the last start Arteta gets.

Lads I really admire the way wegner goes for it 10 men 2 down and takes off the left back for a winger gotta give him props for that

When did Joel Campbell change his name to Junior?

He's made those changes based on how the game has gone, not how it's going. :pac:

I always thought that. Guys my age, that didn't suddenly find a Chelsea of City jersey supporting Leeds, Liverpool and Forest, haven't had much to shout about (Liverpool's glorious night in Istanbul excepted)

I don't think props are necessary. It's a compulsory change at this stage.

Some managers wouldnt go for it in such balls out way though but I get they have to

When the going gets tough too many Arsenal players sh*t themselves.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 35,514 ✭✭✭✭efb

I think Ronnie Whelan is being very unkind to Zagreb, they are not unbeaten for nothing- that's not trying to excuse Arsenal's lethargy

Martin Keown believes the referee was interfering with Sanchez before that free kick.

EDIT: Massive image... Bloody hell. My eyes.

    Campbell what a ball.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,678 ✭✭✭Marcus Antonius

He looked on to me...and look at their poxy GK is he having a laugh? Rolling around holding his face. More time wasting. They're winning 2 nil against ten men

A bandwagoner? Supporting a team looking for instant gratification

According to Ronnie Whelan Zagreb aren't the best team in the world. Does he think this is the World Cup final. With the way Arsenal are playing Zagreb don't need to be much good to win tonight.

With 20 minutes to go. That's how small-fry these guys are.

Aren't you the one that said:
Should be able to make wholesale changes for tomorrow and still win comfortably. No excuses.

Don't think anyone else said it.
