I get dark circles a lot under my eyes to the point that it is aging me looks wise lately. Has anyone here ever got lazer treatment or similar done on theirs?

Ive an event coming up in 9 days and I need to get rid of them. If lazer treatment at such short notice isnt doable what else will completely take them away? Is there anything you would recommend in a beauty salon? Like a facial for the eyes kind of thing?

Im a guy so I wont be using concealer or make up :) All advice welcome.

There are various creams and so on that are supposed to get rid of them but I've never found any that work. If you eyes are swollen and puffy you could use an ice pack, but that'll only get you so far.

Sleep and hydration is important for good skin too, so drink lots of water and also use moisturiser and try use products with less chemicals and no alcohol in them.

Not sure about laser so can't advise you. There's loads of clinics around town so you could try a few and see what they say. The Laser centre on Hume Street springs to mind.

I tend to get dark circles quite a lot as I'm a bit of a night owl, however, one product I've found that works for me is Garnier's Eye Roll-On. It's fantastic, and lovely and cooling!

    I'm a guy too, and it's not make-up or concealer - it's a clear serum.

The chances are these dark circles won't go away most of the time they are genetic and a permanent problem.

My adivce would be first of all make sure you are getting enough sleep and drinking enough water also make sure your not too stressed out and busy. I would advise that you keep going with your normal routine as usual you could add an under eye cream but be careful and make sure you patch test as you don't want to break out or make the problem worse. You could also try putting some cooled green tea bags on your dark circles for a while as this can help to reduce dark circles for some people. What's usually recommended is you put them in some hot water not for long just to get them fully wet them you want to cool them down in the fridge you want them cold but still wet/damp then apply to your dark circles and leave for a while.

You said you don't want to try make up however concealed will really be the most effective thing to hide these dark circles and loads of companies make concealor just for men. Such as Tom Ford. Although I've never used such products myself you should be able to find more information about them on the internet and some of the women on here should be able to advise how to best apply it etc.

Please do not put lemon juice on your skin as some posters have recommended same thing with baking soda, aspirin, lime, toothpaste and others as they are not good for your skin and may make the problem worse and cause new problems such as hyperpigmentation.

Great advice already given here but this Una Brennan eye cream is supposed to be good for dark circles. Haven't tried it myself but about to order it.
