Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

was it 149 they scored v japan in 1995? could be beaten here. thats two tries with barely a hand being laid on the try scorer

Forget BP by halftime, BP by half way through 1st half?

NZ haven't scored for 9 minutes! Shockingly poor.

    Some offload!

Completely OT but every time I hear the commentators reference Sonny Bill Williams, I'm reminded of that really mad character in The Green Mile, Wild Bill Wharton

The panto crowd are out in force in the Olympic Stadium tonight! I think even some Kiwis are booing ref after decisions against Namibia.

Always amazes me how good NZ are at holding the ball in one hand. Like they've got glue on their palms.

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 35,508 Mod ✭✭✭✭pickarooney

I can't help thinking [nelson]Haa-ha![/nelson] every time they give away possession with a sloppy offload.

All NZ have to do is keep the ball and it's very very easy.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,290 ✭✭✭aimee1

    way too easy.

How crooked was that line-out? And that after Milner-Skudder went again after being tackled.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 27,833 ✭✭✭✭ThisRegard

And the commentator just saying he was pretty quick at the cross country running when he was at Old Wesley.

The Namibian guy was at Old Wesley, not sure where Barrett won his cross country medal.

Just a penalty...wonder if it wasn't Namibia would that have been yellow?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,590 ✭✭✭CurryFlavoured

Barrets speed over the first 5-10 metres is insane.

Doubt it. There's been quite a few of those types of tackles so far this WC and nobody has been carded yet.

Another amazing bit of skill from Sonny Bill there.

I dunno what all the fuss is about. We can take them. If we lose to France, Namibia don't stand a chance

Ah, I thought he said Barret. I was thinking I never knew that. In my ignorant defense, I'm sitting on the floor of my daughters room with the volume right right down waiting for her to fall asleep.

    28 years old she is.....

How was an offside not given for the 5th try there?

Why do you think it was offside? Looked fine to me.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 27,833 ✭✭✭✭ThisRegard

The scrum leading up to it was a mess.

One thing I'm really impressed with is how the all blacks are playing exactly on the gain line. Their passes are ridiculously flat (and not just euphemistically flat, genuinely flat)

itv said at half time that no tackles made by NZ 10 to 15 in the first half

Player who picked the ball up was in front of the kicker?

He picked the ball up while behind the kicker so he was back onside.

Namibia are having a bit of a go, not in a threatening way, but they seem to have lost the first half nerves

Love these smaller teams going for the tries instead of points. What have they got to lose. Love it.
