Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Namibia have had a few chances to get tries but have had knock ons at the wrong moment

4 tries already and with Namibia chasing the game and Tonga with an awful goal kicker we should see plenty more.

Namibia looking a bit like Canada the other day. Nice moves here and there but get to a certain point on the pitch and lose all composure.

35-21 to Tonga with 2 to go. And that's how it finished.

I know. My wings are falling apart this week.

Interesting to see how Naholo gets on. Did the magic seaweed do its job.

Gorgodze will be my capt as georgia play NZ. Reckon he might make a lot of tackles and hopefully he wont get another YC

Why do NZ have two scrum-halves on the bench?

Good question. Also interesting that they went with their back up props as starters and their starting props on the bench.

Is there anyone in thr NZ squad who hasn't had game time yet? Other than Naholo who will see some tomorrow.

Messam. He was meant to start against Namibia but has a calf strain.

One of the 2 HBs on the bench must be covering 10 as both Slade and Barrett have niggles. I have no idea if either TKB or TJP have any experience at 10.

Don't know about actually playing at 10 but TJ can certainly kick.

Just reading about Kerr-Barlow's leg injury last year. Sounds a bit like the one JdV came back from?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,037 ✭✭✭Yeah_Right

Apparently Nonu is injured as well.

I read an article earlier that said TJ was FH cover. He played a bit there at underage and has trained there this week. It'll be a blow for NZ if Nonu is injured, but it's not like if any of the rest of the countries had their best 12 injured.

what a horrible state of affairs when your number one 12 is injured and all you have to replace him with is Sonny bill williams :pac: they're doomed!!

I'd expect to see the NZ first team out against Tonga next week in prep for their QF.

    This is their weakened team.

    Argentina team.

    CQUD1sBW8AEEUTh.jpg

Argentina haven't rested a lot of their key players. I assume a win this weekend would guarantee their qualification and they may use their last game to rest some of them but it could stand in our favour if they don't.

Their 12 is called Jeronimo? Apt.

The Georgian players looked delighted to be facing the Haka there. Nice to see.

not sure but he should not return either way

the scrums in this game are lethal. namibia getting minced badly

Clancy has just ignored the world's most obvious deliberate knock on

He has now just penalised Georgia because the full back was mean.

I've cashed in to save the dog and the house. Georgia are blowing this.

Clancy must have been watching last night's game and doesn't want this one to head down the same road.

Georgia playing like they expected to walk all over Namibia.

Great effort from Namiba so far but it can't last long.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,599 ✭✭✭matthew8

Georgia have blown chances but the referee has missed a maul side entry on Namibia's line from their 7 and an absolutely blatant deliberate knock on on Namibia's line. Every single Namibian scrum fed to the second row also.

A lot of silly mistakes by Georgia. They've a lot riding on this game and the pressure is getting to them, a tad bit nervous but clearly the better team.

Haig looks raging in the coaching box!
