Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The great Liverpool team of the 80s would have crushed them.

As in directly from the 80s/90s to now? They'd be absolutely obliterated by the athleticism alone.

Hypothetically if they were brought up with today's knowledge and facilities I think it's just too hard to say, so many variables.

    Really?

Milan had one of the greatest defences of all time.I doubt any team would have crushed them

Sacchi's Milan vs Pep's Barca (with athleticism etc being allowed for as mentioned above) has to be one of the great hypothetical matches of all time.

The athleticism would be the key factor that can't be adjusted for. Part of the marvel of current great sides is their ability to match that and go above it. In a one off game, the 80s/90s sides might be able to handle it, but a campaign, a full CL campaign as it is now, no.
