    Yes, but at least we know not to expect an update until later in the week. Plus they are really close to your number ;)

    I am spending this week refreshing my email every 10-15 minutes.

    I received a supplementary email from PAS on Friday asking for clarification on a part of my application. I am taking that to mean that, save something being wrong, they are processing my potential position shortly.

    has anyone actually started or got a start date yet? How long was it after the initial PAS email before the individual department actually got in touch?

    Judging from previous posts it seems to be 2/ 2.5 weeks between email and you getting a call!

    Just out of curiosity, was interested to know some of the basic backgrounds of people who got picked. Thinking of applying if their was an competition come september

    If its an open AO competition you are considering, its basically open to anyone with a certain level of degree.

    I believe it may be 2.2 or above and starting at lvl 8 qualification. There is a post right back on page 1 of this thread that I think explained the specific requirements and who they look for.

    Question are people handing in their notices when they get their email or waiting for the phonecall? I personally want to wait for the call formally offering the job.

    My understanding is the initial email merely confirms that you are under consideration, and that the department itself needs to give the formal offer. So I would hold off till things are signed and sealed.
