Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You are kidding me, he has been one of the few shining lights in the team this season so far.

Don't like the Koscielny/Gabriel pairing at all. Disgraceful defending the other night (not particularly by them) and neither seemed to be able to do anything to change or affect the shape and positioning of the other players.

I don't think he is on a wind up in fairness.

Early days for this combo. Big test for them today.

Yeah sure people have been saying that Arsenal are the ones to drop out of the top 4 for at least ten years. Hasn't happened though.

Chelsea to win 1-0 with a goal from a set piece. Dropping Terry looks a good move with Walcott up top.

They are on the fringe though. They are stagnant for the last 7 or 8 years. I'm not saying they will fall out but they are the team to be targeted.

Dropping Terry is bold but not enough I reckon. Ivan shouldn't be playing this, he'll be torn a new one if his recent form is anything to go by.

    I'm not optimistic.

A team stagnant for that long wouldn't be in the top 4.

Why though, if anything the quality of the league has dropped.

If Mourinho were to resign/get sacked, where could he conceivably end up?

I think he needs a break then come back and manage a middling team such as a Tottenham or a Liverpool, we could use him at Milan to say the least, perhaps he might take a longer term approach if massive funds for quick fixes aren't available.

3 defeats in 23 league games isnt the form of a team going to drop of of the top 4 anytime soon and if it was I think Everton are in a better position to take advantage than Liverpool.

United will be looking for a manager next season I think. He would fit in there.

What are you basing that on. The first 5 games. They were brutal last year for long spells.

Would still like to see him manage a less prestigious/moneyed club.

As were Utd last season and Chelsea this season but you point out Arsenal as the team to target to get a top 4 spot for the worst Liverpool side I have ever seen.

Shouldn't that be a booking for Diego Costa for doing a "giving a card" gesture or is that just a European Cup thing?

Costa is such a loveable rogue.

Here we go season over if he gets injured

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

First 20 minutes and Chelsea look very sharp and fluid going forward, unfortunately they also look very open at the back once Arsenal get past the initial press.

If you give that, you have to change the whole culture of shepherding the ball out. Too far gone at this stage to change it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

Every referee having their own interpretation of the rules leads to massive inconsistency

    Should have been a peno

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 284 ✭✭Jan Laco

The refs don't want the pressure of having to decide the thin line between what's obstruction and what's shielding IMO.

He may as well have picked the attacker up and placing him away from the ball.
