Does Airplay interfere with some flash streams?

I'm trying to watch a flash stream in a chrome browser window on my TV by connecting to Apple TV using Airplay. The stream plays just fine in the browser but when I connect to Apple TV it pauses and won't respond to clicking the play button. I've checked and this doesn't happen on Youtube (for example). Can anyone suggest…

Flash isn't supported by iOS. YouTube uses html5.

Sorry I must be using the wrong terminology. The stream works completely fine in the browser - it's only when I connect to Apple TV that it pauses automatically and can't be restarted.
