Wife and I moved into our brand new, previously unoccupied house in late Aug 13. Have just noticed the chimney has cracked and needs to be replaced at an eye-watering E4 to 5K.

Anyone know if this should be covered under the Builder's bond (valid until July 16) or whether can claim back on household insurance?

thanks in advance for your help. Pls feel free to advise if in wrong section
