    We are looking at house (not randomly, we are moving house) and what's in the picture was on the side of one of the more prefered houses, just want to know what they are for and why would they be hanging loose.

    .....and it doesn't have to look that messy.
    It would take very little effort to tidy that up and fit a door to the box.

    Thanks all, I presume the 2nd box is for UPC then.

    The wires from one box had been cut, the others looked quite loose
