Chadli i think has to go for me. I debated between him and Payet in my wildcard and made the wrong choice. With Erikssen coming on for him today I think his place might be in doubt. Ditto Darmian with Valencia coming on for him and playing well....who to come in I am not sure but I may take a hit this week.

This. He was tempting me for Sunderland but once i looked at the fixtures my excitement faded fast. Costa suicide mission still on the cards.

Give the lad a go I say!

Am tempted to go with the same myself. Have my wildcard if it turns out a mess.

Tempted to go Ayew or Barkley to Hazard. Chelsea's season might finally start to kick into gear and have some nice fixtures coming up.

The other option that's tempting is Gomis to Martial. At home against Sunderland next week is about as good a fixture you could want, and could easily see Martial price rise by .3 or .4 over next 2 weeks.

    Any thoughts lads?

With benteke potentially injured, do I need to wildcard this. I've already used up my FT. Will get rid of sterling, Gomez, benteke, ward, maybe Gomes and maybe one or two more. Need to do it tonight if i do wc.

    What do you think?

Fair play to him. He may be the antidote to my Costa attraction.
I'm very happy for him. The amount of crap he got in France because of his transfer wages that he's not responsible for was ridiculous. And I believe it was the same on the other side of the Channel. He couldn't have given any better response than his 3 goals in a game and a third.

Now, as CSF pointed out, United fixtures after Sunderland are not great. But I'm thinking he could replace Gomis (away to Saints) for me for one week and then I'll adopt a wait & see approach...

Fook the fixtures. Form over fixtures. I think he's worth a punt. Nobody else is standing out.

Even if Benteke isn't long term injured, I wasn't planning on him sharing the limelight with Sturridge for a while yet.

There are other cheaper strikers with better fixtures that are just as on form though. Ighalo and Wilson the most notable.

I already have Wilson. I'll be going Martial up front with him and Aguero.

Martial is playing for a better team than Watford.

Martial seems to fit LVG system of one up top, he said in his interview that he was already "very important".

The boy can finish and with his conversion rate so far he has shown he can deliver off scraps.

Well worth a punt and I'm in, so far off the pace now the -4 will roll in like teenagers in an off license....

I'll probably have to go -4 as well as I only have 3 defenders who'll play next week and Huth plays Arsenal.

Yeah that's what I hinted in my last sentence in my previous post.

He's worth a punt. And Sunderland at home next is as good a fixture as he can get. Gomis is away to Saints and with a run not that easy too. He doesn't seem good for BPs which dampers his appeal. And as you said nobody else is standing out, even Agüero himself!

So I'm also looking at an Agüero Wilson Martial frontline. And it'll keep the Frenchie quota in my team :pac:...

He is but with a 3 million difference there and a huge difference in terms of preferable fixtures there is a clear winner for me in terms of value.

With that said I won't be going for either, I was already having a conundrum over which of my front 8 to bench so if Benteke isn't fit i no longer have a decision over who to bench.

At least you have something to fight for at this point, a good solid start.

I'm going to retain Sako in case Martial does get a rest, a half decent sub to have.

Not overly worried about Arsenal attack just now, it all.seems pretty flat just now. A CS for Huth wouldn't surprise me.

Plays for as good an attacking team as there has been in the league over the last 10 league games last year and first 6 this year. He also has great fixtures and won't have a couple of must win cl games and a trip to Russia to contend with.

i'm thinking of going Gomis to Martial. I have to sell Ayew or pedro to fund it though.

Pedro looks a bit tastier to keep than Ayew, what are your thoughts ? I'll probably go Wanyama

    Begovic McCarthy
    Targett Evans Francis Kolarov Gomez
Ayew Yaya Touré Mahrez Pedro Sánchez
    Gomis Wilson Agüero

Benteke out - Martial in and Captained

Front three of Martial, Aguero and Ighalo.

    3 still injured though.
    Ward, Kompany and Kouyaté.

    I can barely field 11.

Finished on 57 this week from 10 players thanks to Gomes no show

    4.3M in the bank

Thinking of doing Redmond to Payet and Gomis to Ighalo for a -4. But seem to have nice fixtures and are on form. Or I could do Ayew to Payet and Gomis to Martial.

Ah well, it's a tough one alright. I'd maybe keep pedro as he's playing Newcastle, but I wouldn't be getting rid of ayew

On the Martial train. Brought him in for Gomis and captained him. Why not? :D

    Transfers done.
    Silva, Gomez --> Payet, Dawson

Lining up like this next week:
    Begovic
    Kolarov Darmian Dawson
    Sanchez Pedro Ayew Mahrez Payet
    Aguero Ighalo

Captaincy decision is going to be tough this week.

What do I do?-Do I transfer Aguero, Pelle or Wilson for Martial

And vardy he rarely gets a mention
Vardy was good last year to finish the season. He's one of the reason I finally made it into top10k. Cheap & allowing for big hitters in midfield and alongside him. Performing and returning good points.

But I'd say this year he's suffering from Mahrez incredible start. I know Leicester are on good form and Ranieri seems to be the right man for them (he did great work in Monaco these last 2 years, don't know why he's so underrated and criticised) but giving 2 Leicester spots out of your front 7 is too much for me. I already made the mistake with Swansea these last 2 games and it burnt me. I know it can work out but I generally don't like these double or quits situations.

Wilson is a good "equivalent" to Vardy so far. It's all about balance and I do acknowledge the fact that I'm a little extremist on balance :P. But I generally like to spread my options as much as I can. The infamous idea of "cover" we already had many debates about in this forum. I mean, "covering" a team doesn't mean getting any random player from it (e.g. I don't suppose Wanyama is offering me Saints "cover"). But for now, I feel Mahrez is "covering" me for Leicester. He's their central man. And, if it was not for my Agüero blind glasses, I should have gotten double rewarded from his returns at least once. Now Vardy is also performing upfront. So is Wilson. And maybe Wilson is tinily more important to Bournemouth than Vardy is to Leicester (as a very quick shortcut I'd say the BPs they got may reflect that idea)?

So far this year, I feel that having a premium, a mid-priced and a cheap striker balances well one's team. So, if Agüero and Wilson are "covering" the first and last spot, the middle one could go to Martial for now. Had Bony & Gomis there... Maybe it's a good time to give it to Martial.

Just to finish on Martial. His current conversion rate is the best of his career so far. It was his weak point in Monaco. I know he has a quality midfield behind him but hard to know how much he can keep it up. He's obviously young & talented and could be at the right place at the right time to explode. He also knows a good season in United will give him a place in the French team for "our" Euro.

    Anyone resisting this Martial mania??

The contrarian in me says no at the moment.

It said no to Pedro and Benteke lately too. Tempted to follow the crowd and cash in on the price surge though.

I'll bank the 0.1m resale on him. He has Sunderland and then three terrible fixtures. We don't know if he's nailed and ManU have only started scoring goals the last two matches. I can see why people are inclined to, but the 50%/hour thing is ridiculous. Captaining him next GW is a major punt

It's a bit like what I imagine Beatlemania was back in the day and despite all logic I too want a Ticket To Ride :)

Seems like madness to swap Pelle for him too but I've got 2 FTs and a WC in my back pocket.

Tempted by Martial but think I might give Gomis another week. Southampton have conceded 3 at home to Everton and United so there's every chance Swansea could score a few there. Sanchez's form is a worry and am considering getting Hazard in for him. Fixtures are better and now that he's off the mark, he may start producing the goods again.

First and hopefully last -8 of the season. I only fielded 9 players this week so it had to be done.

    Cedric- Azpi
    Muniesa- Cresswell
    Benteke- Martial

Had considered Silva our but with 2.4m itb, am tempted to go Sakho -> Vardy or Martial, probably go Martial looking at next weeks fixture.

Not till after league cup games anyway
To afford him I'll e downgrading ayew to a 4.5 ml or so anyway so .1 doesn't matter
I'd rather have a proper think on it seen as I have darmian and mata already!

Im resisting but I can see the attraction for a lot of people. I have aguero wilson and vardy. Im not comfortable taking any of those 3 out yet. I need to shift chadli and a defender so I have greater needs. I think it could cost me next week but Im looking more long term.

That's the thing that could see me resist after all...

I need to do something about Coates. I suppose Huth is safe (price-wise) for some time now. And there's Silva. Mata in for Silva sounds more sensible than Gomis to Martial, doesn't it?

I'm also wary that his huge rising rate tonight may quickly fade away (it was the same with Ayew 2 weeks ago and then he didn't get the second rise in the same GW).
If I had Benteke I'd be jumping on it. But Gomis, I'm having second thoughts as I feel I have other priorities... I may give in though... Home to Sunderland, how appealing that is!

Have a back 5 of Kolorov
    Martin(Goalscoring legend)
    Ward (inj)
    Darmian
    Gomez

After watching MOTD it seems Moreno played well so Gomez first team minutes are over barring injuries.
Darmian hasn't returned much points wise lately.

Thinking of swopping out Darmian for Sagna....who would people suggest bringing in for Gomez in the 4.5-4.8m price range?.....

    Really appreciate any ideas.

I have defensive issues too but not urgent. I have no Chelsea with Newcastle next, so thats probably prioriy no 1. I'm looking at it and it would possibly be a worthwhile move for -4 to get the Garcon Wonder (see what I did there ) and Hazard at the expense of my Swansea pair.

That would leave me with what we thought 6 weeks ago was going to be the Holy Grail of Sanchez, Hazard and Aguero in a pretty balanced team with 0.3 itb.

    Front 8 would be...

    Hazard. Yaya. Sanchez. Mahrez. Westwood.
    Aguero. Wilson. Martial.

Anyone any late Sunday night wisdom?
