Windscreen gel

Hi all, I've no windscreen cover on my insurance and I have a chip on my windscreen smaller than a €1 coin. It past the nct and I'm looking to get it repaired but not replace the windscreen. Auto glass quoted over €100, seems a bit much. Any advice on where I can do it. I'm in the Clare/Limerick area. Thanks.
