Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If these devices are available for pre-order today I wonder how long we would expect to wait for shipping.

Nexus lost its charm when they started pusing up the prices. There are better specs available for less.

The only thing draws me to the Nexus series now is the latest and greatest software + updates on them.

But the software is a big plus for me - getting marshmallow out of the box is very tempting. Also, I am struggling to find a 5"-ish phone at the pricepoint. the LG G4 and Moto Play are both 5.5 I think, which is just too big for me :(

I feel your pain. Similarly looking for a smaller handset and there really isn't that much out there these days.

I think the original Nexus 5 started shipping within the week so I'd expect the same for this.

If these 6P prices are correct then it's a joke and I'll stay with my OPO for now.

    http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/09/29/full-nexus-6p-press-release-with-pricing-for-various-sizes-in-several-countries-leaked/

    €699 for the 64GB version!

I'm guessing it is correct. Crazy price really. Can't see many sales at those price points

If these prices are legit i'm out. $250 more expensive for the 128gb version? How can they justify that sort of additional markup

    I call shenanigans!

$499 does not equal £449 or €649 no matter what way you cut it!

Even putting the cost at $550 to account for sales tax and freight costs, it's still only around £360 and €480

Plus, I don't see IE on that list :(

Electronic devices are never priced 1 : 1, Europeans generally get screwed.

NEXUS DEVICES AVAILABLE FIRST IN THE US, UK, IRELAND AND JAPAN!!!

    Are my ears working right....?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,541 ✭✭✭duridian

Pricing has just got even worse. The US also gets a $50 Play Store credit with the 5X or 6P, so that's another lump of cash from which us suckers in the EU won't benefit if we want a Nexus. :(

Yes they are, if you are happy with the price.

I think* he said you will be able to remove system apps like regular apps on 6.0. Currently you can only disable or root to remove them.

*Not certain. I may have picked him up wrong.

The amount of times I've complained online about the lack of things for Ireland I think Google must have heard me! Haha

Not bad, but why is the Chromecast Audio the same price? Is it not just a wifi version of a Bluetooth receiver that costs half the price?

So based on those prices I guess people that were waiting will be going down Moto route?

  • Registered Users Posts: 539 ✭✭✭murfilein

hefty prices indeed. still ordered the 32 gb 5x. remember: at least there are no iphone prices. wouldnt hope that for the next generation though...

Pricing is indeed an absolute joke. $379 hardly equates to €479, especially with it only being £339 in the UK. Fortunately I'm not purchasing this year as my Nexus 5 is fine, but here's hoping next years devices are a bit more sensibly priced...

Sorry Google, but you're pricing is too dear for the second year in a row! :D

Crazy. Was considering an update from my Nexus 5, but with prices like that I'm not going anywhere near the 5x.
