Operating company name

When I search here: https://search.cro.ie/company/ for "eir", the only thing that looks like an Eircom company is "Open Eir".

Legally, what is the actual operating company name?

If you look at the bottom of their new site. It says Eir is a trading name of Eircom. Its incorporated in Jersey, maybe thats why its not on cro.ie

You generally use the channel islands for anonymity of your company accounts. All the bin companies have an operations there to keep their account private from their competitors.

Although if Eir goes down the route of IPO, all this information will be made public anyway
