    Looking at it a second time I'm almost certain that's what it is. Must be a dead 'creature' there somewhere. I use the word creature in the dire hope it's not human...... double :eek:

    Small intestines of a rabbit. Dog could have sniffed out the carcass after something else had been feasting on it, and dragged it to a favourite spot to investigate.

    Our spaniel is always turning up with bits of rabbit, often well past its sell-by date.
