Hang on a second...regardless what you think about those players out there, every single one of them man for man is a more talented footballer than their Carlisle counterpart. Every one of them, like, by miles. And look at the football we're playing. That's the manager.

Your job...manage them. Get the best out of them. Find ways to use their strengths effectively and minimize their weaknesses. That's what a manager does.

I really don't think anyone can argue that any of these players are playing at the height of their abilities. Quite the opposite. They've all, to a man, shown they're capable of much more than they're doing right now.

That is true. I'll concede that. But him getting the sack isn't just based on tonight's performance which is what we are talking about in real terms. And overall the tripe purchased has us in this position

Of course you can. You tell Ibe what he should be doing. You explain why he should be doing it. You show video of what happens when you do the thing he wants you to do and how it can be effective.

You tell Coutinho to stop shooting from everywhere. you run patterns of play and drills for movement to overload and switch play. If they're doing the wrong things over and over again, it's the managers fault.
