Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

He has stated he wouldn't swap BR for Klopp or Ancelotti.

Shall we get into your statements from the last 24 hours or so?

Carlisle keeper's going to have the worst case of shellshock since WW1.

A good team in comparison to who? Carlisle yes.

A good team relative to the money spent?

Don't judge players based off what they cost.

A good team relative to our premier league rivals. A team who should be capable of challenging for a top 4 position and cup competitions under a competent manager.

Well at least Lovren will have an excuse if he balloons a penalty.

Lovern getting stretchered off by the looks of things, so it hasnt been a total disaster of a night
Edit: Looks kind of bad, went over on his foot really badly.

    Rodgers doesn't look well there.

A season ticket of this, and you'd start to see the benefits of long term heroin ubuse.

Not nice to see a player get injured. Not a fan of Lovren but still feel bad for him.

    Lovren down - good news!

Thats bad form. Never nice to see someone badly injured.

    Ankle ligaments gone there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

I don't fancy Liverpool's chances in the penalties as they are under pressure and lacking confidence whilst Carlisle have nothing to lose.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,036 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Carlisle well deserve their shot at pens.

I'd rather break my leg than have ankle ligament damage. It's a long long road.

Not watching anymore, it didn't sound too bad as described by radio. Still at least it means he can't miss the vital peno

Did anyone else Coutinho was going to do anything other than shoot there?

He was given gas, it must be bad.

    Carlisle nearly win it :pac:

And so it is that another expensive nothing player crashes and burns and washes up on the shores of Anfield, prone on a stretcher and applauded off.

Ah, don't worry about it. People say things in the spur of the moment especially when a game is going badly.

Interesting how against a League 2 side in 120 minutes, I never actually thought we'd score again.

    Penalties :)

Love a shootout once it's not my team in it :pac:

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

They should pass that gas around the stadium at least, it's only fair for the price of admission

    penalties

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,796 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

Surely we don't get beat. Half the penalty takers for this Carlisle team are kids.

It's one of those awful times as a fan that you feel we are probably better off losing here so long as it speeds up the inevitable

Carlisle will win this, no doubt about it in my mind.

We're going out here. Looking at body language of players. I think 2/3 will miss

    Liverpool look beaten already.

    Carlisle are bouncing.

    Only one winner here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,948 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

There's no reason why Rodgers should still be manager after this, whether we win or lose on penalties.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,632 ✭✭✭✭Sand

Carlisle will have a huge psychological advantage here you would think. Bringing Liverpool to penalties at Anfield is a boost for them.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,046 ✭✭✭Berserker

Penalties. It's a lottery now. Think Liverpool will sneak it due to that little bit of experience.

They are a League II outfit. Doubt that is the case. Can't see them pulling through a penalty shout out against a PL side.
