I'm just wondering if many people commute or bring their kids to school in arklow while living in Aughrim. We are looking at a house there and our daughter has settled in well already in an arklow school so don't want to move her. Our other 2 are in a school in Newcastle but they provide transport.

i would think most people commute to Arklow from Aughrim as its the main town to them.Numerous banks, shopping etc.I suppose the difference being that most wouldn't be commuting everyday with children as they'd be in aughrim primary schools and i think most secondary go to rathdrum.

You would complete the drive in 20 mins or so but there was been several incidents on the woodenbridge to Aughrim road regarding accidents and i know it can be treacherous in the winter with ice as well as being liable to flooding
