Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Otamendi is some boy to win a header.

Spurs have had the better of the half chances but switch off at the last vital moment.

And De Bruyne has scored on the counter attack.

That was a sick counter attack. Awesome football.

Looked on judging from the lines on the pitch.

Better with his head than his feet it would seem! :pac: He's lucky he didn't pull a hamstring with the amount of fresh air he caught there.

That's what I said but the angle of the camera isn't great. Webb has a load of angles at his disposal.

He was a hair offside i'd say going by the lines on the pitch, but the attacker should get the benefit of the doubt.

    Good game so far.

    Spurs are so wasteful!

Good start for the lads. De Bruyne is looking an excellent buy at the moment. If we can hold out for the win here, it would make a massive statement considering we're missing 3 of our main men (Hart, Vinnie and Merlin).

I prefer this set up from city, the Brazilian hoovers should always be starting.

Next poster is a better footballer than Kyle Walker.

    1 offside each. :pac:

Walker was a mile offside...how did the linesman miss that?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,292 ✭✭✭GreNoLi

The linesman should be shot, worst decision this season.

Great stuff from De Bruyne there for that spurs goal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,048 ✭✭✭Unearthly

Wow that that was a terrible offside decision

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Offside but that evens it out!

What is the City keeper doing?

What was Willy doing there? I don't think he should be letting that In.
    Poor pass from Kdb.

De bruyne was close to being off, walker is 2 yards offside :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

That initial save from Cabellero was unbelievable.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 23,216 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kiith

That's as bad a decision i've seen in a long time. Awful call from the linesman.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Kolarov should have scored about 60secs before Sours goal too, was a poor finish, straight at Lloris.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,948 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

    That was really, really bad.

Extraordinary tbh. Why video replays are needed asap.

Shocking how the linesman didn't flag walker offside, brutal officiating.

Probably thought "it's only Kyle Walker".

What does Demichelis bring to a football team? I've been watching him for quite a few years now and I keep thinking there must be something I'm missing. But I'm sorry, I just can't see it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,433 ✭✭✭NomadicGray

    Alright, go on Dier

At least both linesman are **** so things have evened out

This season has had so many bad calls. Refs really need to sort it out...not that i'm complaining this time :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Two offside goals. Can understand the City one being missed as it was marginal, but the Spurs one wasn't even close. Walker was clearly offside. How could the linesman miss it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

In fairness the De Bruyne was a really tight call and there wasn't much in it.

The Walker one though was just horrific.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,341 ✭✭✭El Horseboxo

Missed the first city goal. But how does a linesman miss Walker being offside. He's right in front of him and clearly about 2 yards off. It's as easy a decision as you can make.

Man City, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Argentina. Think you need to look a little harder!

Edit: and, having googled Demichelis and seen the woman he married during the summer, i am now depressed for the day. Thanks Backwards Man!

It was an awful decision by the referee. How are they getting continuously worse every season? City can't blame the ref solely though, they had their chance to clear it and they didn't.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,694 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

if there's a video ref, at what point do you stop that passage of play leading to the Spurs goal to see if it was offside. After everyone's celebration of the 'goal' or as the guy crosses it..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,042 ✭✭✭✭L'prof

Saw a replay of de Bruyne there, he was definitely off. Officials terrible for both calls!

De Bruynes pass out to Fernando(inho) at the edge of the box on the 45th minute was a poor decision to make, he should have lumped it up towards Ageuro and down into space to get to HT with a lead.
