This may sound like a stupid question but how does a seno assign a place/location for your child.
We have 3 kids, 2 of which are in a great special needs school. We are looking at moving house but where we move all depends on whether they can stay in their school, there's no way we will be changing schools. Does the seno assign a place based by county, closest location, where ever is available.

    Cheers

In smaller counties it's by county and got larger counties it might be by region within a county. Are you moving county?

Possibly, yeah, 1 of the houses is on the boarder (a Google of the address throws up 2 counties so we honestly are not sure which one it's in)
The other is about 5 miles over into another county.

We know of someone in the same school that lives well outside the county border so hopefully it's possible that we can do it.

They would hardly move them once they are settled in school already would they? I doubt it.

Have heard that some Dublin families have been told to apply to schools in neighbouring counties...
