My wife's fathers M2. No screen protector. Looks like pressure damage? Strange that it's a perfectly straight line.

    Strange.

It kinda looks like the digitizer screen is bonded to the LCD with UV glue and a bubble has formed between them where the glue has failed. I know Samsung and Motorola have done this bonding on phones with Amoled screens, like Galaxy S series or 1st and 2nd gen Moto X, but am kind of surprised to see it on a Sony M2 which I believe has LCD display.
