Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    CL FINAL

    over 9.5 corners €50 :(

    free inplay under 3.5 goals

    Won €62.50
    €37.50 loss out of it..

Threw it all on atletico madrid to lift the trophy.
    God bless them <3

Taken Ronaldo to be booked @4.7 on betfair.

Not a stranger to a card when facing Atletico. Got booked for whipping his shirt off after scoring against them in the last champions league final they met in - although that was in extra time.

He's had injury issues too which I'm hoping will help pull a card from him.

Taken a decent stake on over 10.5 Asian corners @1.850 to activate the 365 bet offer too.

    Good luck tonight lads

Think that injury had the opposite effect I wanted. Not much sign of Ronaldo at all in the second half. Kinda needed his presence to get him booked.

1/3  ... what's wrong with Bray? Do the players not get paid or something?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,835 ✭✭✭keano25

Bray very poor this season. Half the players didn't bother showing up for pre season by all accounts.

1/3  ... what's wrong with Bray? Do the players not get paid or something?

You should keep an eye on the Irish betting thread, I posted there after their second game of the season when we mullered them, they were shocking bad then and haven't improved much since it seems.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,965 ✭✭✭✭Gavin "shels"

Posted this in the Irish thread as one of our Outright bets (which has won), basically loads of money was put into Bray and loads of pressure on Mick Cooke to deliver. He didn't and got sacked, they're back in the manager merry go round like they were last season. On paper, they're not bad but their off the field situation is a shambles for the past 18 months.

"Mick Cooke - Premier Division Sack Race @ 7/1 (Paddy Power) – Novelty Bet Stake
“Applies to next manager to leave his position by any means whether it's by resigning or getting sacked”
At first look, it’s hard to see where the first manager casualty will come from with Tony Cousins favourite at 3/1. Cousins has been with Longford since 2009 and has brought them promotion along with a good mid table finish in 2015. Ollie Horgan gained Harps Premier Division status! Shane Keegan, Dave Robertson, Kenny Shields, Tommy Dunne are all signed on 2 year deals. You’d expect Liam Buckley and Pat Fenlon to be ok once they challenge for the League, likewise Caulfield and Kenny. Tommy Dunne should have no problems at Galway this season with some much poorer teams coming into the Division, while Keith Long will look to maintain a midtable position with Bohs.
Mick Cooke will be expected to deliver early on with Bray, he was the 4th manager of the club last season with the Board falling out with Alan Mathews and Trevor Croly publicly. There seems to be heavy investment in Bray this season and any failings of Mick Cooke to establish a comfortable 5th or 6th position early on could see him leaving the Carlisle Grounds."

Would you fancy them to beat Longford? How bad are Longford compared to Bray?

Both are very poor, Longford had a mini run of a cupla good results, drawing away to us when we played terribly badly and drawing at Pats a cupla weeks later. Longford would have more attacking ability but are worse at the back, not a game I'd be going near.

    Nope.
    Holland win 2-1

What a difference a Depay on the bench makes. Janssen did get useful crosses now.

Longford look diabolical from what I've seen, Bray have a decent side on paper but an inexperienced manager at present. At odds on, Bray look a tab short. Me and the 3 lads I pick the Irish bets with are currently debating Bray as one of our potential bets for the weekend so keep an eye in the Irish thread tomorrow night. :)

SkyBet & Coral are offering 7/2 for a Kane wincast tonight, and Coral are also offering 4/1 for England & BTTS.

Also, would anyone be in favour of a stickied Copa America thread, seeing as it starts this Saturday? I fancy Uruguay as dark horses, but I'm just basing that on the fact they're Uruguay. :o

    Draw between england and portugal.
    Cant see either winning!

yeah for sure, i'll look at the copa to see if there's anything i like, though i wont be doing much on copa i think, felt my judgement was off with it last year. seems different to european football. more fouls going unpunished, a bit more hectic. difficult for me

Messi as the MVP @6 is a no brainer. He's won that at the last 2 tournaments he's played at. Argentina are under 3 to win the tournament. If they do, I think there's no chance Messi misses out.

    Through a series of bets, I've turned €10 into ~ €20 into ~ €50 into ~ €75 into ~ €187 (this is not a brag, I have lost count of the amount of times I've lost @ the €10 or €20 stage!)

I usually never bet above €50 on anything, would I be mad to bet the €187 on France?
