Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lukaku bet will have to be taken.

I like the look of btts first half, 11/4, came in for a few of Everton home games recently I think

Small on btts both halves also 10/1

Hopefully a few more goals than last night.

    The big man scored.

Pity city couldn't get a fhg for my other 2 , but can't complain.

Well in all tonight, made up for last night.

    Didn't get on all evening.

Done a quick treble earlier which had Everton in it but need Atletico Madrid to turn it around which isn't looking good. Napoli and Everton done the job earlier. 13/2 or so.

Hopefully the luck from here is thrown over to me for next half hour.

I think I might take Messi top scorer in La Liga. He is 16/1, and only 9 goals off Suarez.

I'm also thinking off taking Sergio Augero at 7/1. He's only 7 off Lukaku.

I might double it as well for interest

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,973 ✭✭✭✭PopePalpatine

It's a shame no-one's offering each way odds on the top goalscorer in La Liga, I'll pass on that particular market. :/

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,862 ✭✭✭✭inforfun

Probably nowhere odds avaiable making it worth it but the FIFA had the winner of the ballon D'or of this year already on their website yesterday.

    d4973be8f3e1d827127be2cfe1bf7539.png

Quickly followed by a statement that the winners (female winner is in the screenshot too) are not known yet.

Now, this election is done by coaches and captains of national teams and i dont think the votes are only done on the day itself but way before that.

Mabe the female winner is worth a bet, if there is any bookie offering odds on it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,973 ✭✭✭✭PopePalpatine

The bookies must be kicking themselves that FIFA's corruption has been exposed, they could have bribed them to change the winner. :pac:

Nice bet on Stoke dnb 11/10 and

I see a few people go for DNB here , as a professional I always make sure I am getting the absolute best odds , DNB was an area I looked at before , I made a simple spreadsheet to work out what odds I was actually getting if I did the draw no bet manually. Very often I found that betting Team win and Team draw to replicate the DNB gave favourable odds.

If we take Stoke above taking the match odds and draw odds gave implied odds of 2.38 v 2.10 available at the bookies ( I am not obsessed with this stoke game it was just first example I saw!)

Anyway I was going to post my spreadsheet but found a site with a working calculator , plug in your win and draw odds and it will give you implied DNB odds if its greater than DNB odds then its a no brainer.

    http://www.arbcruncher.com/free_popup.asp?type=1

Go to the top corner and select Draw no bet calculator from drop down box , ignore comission if your taking prices from bookmakers and add comission if from exchange.

Asian 0.0 is the same as dnb but better odds for the same thing afaik

  • Registered Users Posts: 508 ✭✭✭Mr. Green

    About Asian handicaps.

Handicap (+0.25) can be replaced by two stakes handicap (0) and handicap (+0.5).
But, as a rule, Asian handicap (+0.25) will be more expensive than two bets.

For example the match Cadiz - Сelta.

If you put 1000 Euro on the handicap (+0.25) @ 3.08 it will bring 2080 euros of profit with wins and 1040 euros for a draw.
But If you split the bet into two parts and put the 830 euros handicap (+0.5) @ 2.46
    and 170 Euro handicap (0) @ 4.85
when you win you will receive Cadiz 1041+824= 1865, with a draw of 1040 euros.
Accordingly, your profit (if you win of Cadiz) 1865 - 2080 = EUR -215.

It is always necessary to consider the Asian handicap. Rarely, but sometimes on the contrary

    So

Cadiz -vs- Celta Vigo, Cadiz +0.25 @ 3.080

This is the first match. Cadiz plays very tight at home.
Celta 10th house accepts Atletico Madrid.
Even if today to lose everything can be solved at home.
Celta is one of the most popular bets.
Celta without Nolito and Augusto Fernandez.
But despite that, the line on Celta fell down 1.99 - 1.62

What's everyone's thoughts on the other Copa del Rey game tonight (Eibar vs Las Palmas), as well as Wigan vs Gillingham? Gillingham look fairly overpriced at ~3/1.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,036 ✭✭✭shmeee

One bet tonight, spotted this the other day.

    Wigan v Gillingham

    Total Corners over 12 @ 7/4 Stan James (17/10 with Powers, 6/4 bet365)

Wigan's games average corners count at home is 12.1.

    Wigans Total Corners last 8 home games reads, 16, 11, 16, 10, 12, 9, 11, 13.

    Wigan has a team average 8 corners at home themselves, their total corners in their last 8 home games reads, 11, 9, 12, 8, 8, 8, 6, 8, 9.

In the Total Wigan Corners market, Betfair go 17/10 over 7 corners and 27/10 over 8 which look like value but I'm going with Total corners market as Gillingham love a corner also.

    Gillingham's corner count in last few away games read, 6, 5, 5, 4, 6, 6.

So my bet is Total Corners over 12 @ 7/4 Stan James.

And Wigan and Eibar is very popular today.

Eibar on the line fell (2.06 - 1.76 now). In the Cup del Rey in the first match - I would not take Eibar such a favorite against Las Palmas.
Next match Eibar against Espanyol. I don't think the Cup is so important for these clubs.

Gillingam 4 wins in a row.
Gillingham and Wigan haven't played in a draw. Think there will be very few goals.

Man utd (h v Sheffield utd), man city (a v Norwich) and west ham (h v wolves) treble. Enhanced from 11/4 to 4/1 on PP.

Don't like FA cup betting, especially early rounds with teams fielding weakened teams, but that seems a good bet. Let's hope the recent run of 'Power Price' goodness continues.
