The stock being sold as "last years" gear at the expo, wasn't actually last years gear, it was a cheapish tech-shirt that had been manufactured this year with 2014 on it.

I have an Adidas top from 2009 which i bought in 2010 at the expo and love it. I'm not sure if lifestyle are still involved but in previous years i've seen them selling off gear in their blanch store.

Didn't hit my target time which was a bit optimistic for me but really enjoy the day. Started to cramp from 21 mile which was a disappointment and I now have a very sore big toe possible cause by limping for a couple of miles.

I'm guessing you were in our 4 hour group snailspace? Congratulations, I hope you had a great day and that you are recovering well.

Mr Stew and I really, really enjoyed the day and I honestly mean it when I say the runners in our group were fantastic, it was a pleasure to pace.

We are always so thankful standing on the Start Line of a marathon and even more so at the Finish Line, last Monday was extra special as Mr S hadn't run in a marathon since DCM 2013. He has made a remarkable comeback after a huge curve ball was thrown at us in February 2014, (http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=89261220&postcount=1487)

Congrats again to all who ran, I hope the recovery is going well

Wow - having run several hours in his (and your!) company, I would have never guessed. You guys did an amazing job and I am sure brought a lot of runners in under the coveted 4 hours. It was also nice chatting to you both (albeit briefly) afterwards at the finishline and in McGs.

Just read the story about your husband,Marthastew. Delighted he he has made such a great recovery and can run marathons again.
It must all have been a massive shock and an extremely stressful time when he had his heart attack. You never know, do you?

If anyone has Laya healthcare they offer a free heart check. I'd always meant to sign up for it and after reading this and seeing the half marathon incident I have.

Happens to quite a lot of people actually. Doctors aren't too happy with all the referrals from these "free checks". I guess it's better to be safe than sorry though!

Thanks folks. Strangely Mrs aero didn't pick up the error - she tells me I had 5 typos in last year's report, so I got her to proof-read this one before uploading it. It's good to see even the non-running stuff is scrutinised!

Well, I don't know all the rules, but I do tend to demand higher standards of myself than of others. Mrs aero is the world's greatest proofreader* (she's a civil servant, so my race reports seem very short to her) and she also expects attention to detail - there's no forgiveness.

*hasn't been independently verified, but if you find a better one, grab him/her, they're valuable!

Someone suggested I post here to see if anyone got a finishers t-shirt in the wrong size and wants to trade?

I got mine in the post this week and it's a size 'S'. I had asked for an XL! I've emailed DCM but no reply so far and I'm not really holding out hope they'll have one left.

So on the off change anyone wants to trade t-shirts, I had to ask so please pm me if you want to trade. I'd take a L or XL.
