A 3 month (July, August & September) payment plan was set up for the 31st of the month, by an outside company not Bank of Ireland. Can you tell me what would be normal practice with September having only 30 days, would the payment be taken on the 30th of September or the 1st of October?
    Thanks

    Hi smiley girl,

Thanks for getting in touch with us here on Boards.ie

Normally in this case the payment would be deducted from your account the next working day, so for September the next working day would be Thursday the 1st of October.

However with direct debit payments the company taking the payment chooses the date that the payment is deducted so it is advisable to check this with them first to confirm.

Let me know if you need help with anything else.

    Thanks
    Nicola
