Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Seriously - I rate Rooney but how he lost possession practically unchallenged there....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,054 ✭✭✭✭Professey Chin

Has Rooney controlled a ball successfully this entire game?

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

    Tense game.

    Good block Phil

    Scrap the cap!

Rooney is a detriment to that team out there. He cant score easy chances, cant dribble with the ball without losing it.... at what point does he finally lose his place?

Not the match for Pereira IMO

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Perreria needs to start finding his own team mates.

You were posting in the main United thread a few minutes ago so you're putting yourself at a huge amount of risk of spoilers. If having no knowledge of what is going on in other matches is truly important to you, watch the match and stay off the internet. Don't guilt trip other posters for talking about football matters on a football forum.

Like I said, the whole "Spoilers" thing is way out of control in my opinion.

Yes and I saw mention of the other match and didn't read it and haven't looked in there since.

I don't think it's unreasonable to request in one match thread the scores of another game that also has a match thread not be posted, especially when there are highlights coming up straight after.

You seem more upset than anyone tbh.

Would have kept Schweini on and taken Schneiderlin off instead.

If the lads don't cop on here quickly there'll be an equaliser.

Christ this ref. Its like he has a chip on his shoulder about everything.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,406 ✭✭✭Korat

The ref is having a laugh now, booking Utd players just to annoy the fans.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,830 ✭✭✭Cookie_Dough

OK Young 's yellow card was ridiculous.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,689 ✭✭✭sky88

It's not the refs fault Utd are so poor.

    Poor effort.

Players need to keep their composure - the ref has lost the plot, but the players need to stay professional and see it out without reacting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Completely lost in midfield now and mata hasn't seen the ball in ages

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

    Poor effort.

Utd are playing very poor against an average side. No denying that how much you want to blame the ref.

    Average side?
Do you watch much football when you're not watching through your fingers or keyboard?

Nobody is even denying that. The ref has been a soft touch and given cards out willy nilly all night.

United very suspect since Memphis and Bastian went off.

    He should be off.

    Lucky boy.

How do you watch football through your keyboard. In terms of where Utd want to be they are average.

Stupid attempt at a pass from Schneiderlin.

    Should be off.

The team who finished 2nd in the Bundesliga and won the German cup last season are AVERAGE?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

United very suspect since Memphis and Bastian went off.

Bastian especially who can hold and pass the ball from midfield.

Schneiderlin walking a tightrope here with the ref. Wolfsburg players have the refs number and are dropping at every opportunity.

I wish they'd only use refs that know what it's like to officiate big games every week or so.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,632 ✭✭✭✭Sand

The ref is a joke now. If he is handing out yellows for a slow throwin then Schneiderlin should be off. He is very poor if he doesnt have the courage to follow through on his view of the game. At least then you could say he was strict - now he is just a fool.

Desperate 'pass' to start with, Morgan lucky to be still on the field.

Rooneys positioning was dreadful, he stood in Schneiderlins way.

I reckon the officials have a big wedge on the draw.

This is the sort of time you would want to bring Schweinsteiger on to calm things down and establish some order...
