Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What breed is it?

    If a puppy is half King Charles spaniel and half cavachon, what breed is it? Been told it is a cavachon, but looks more like a King Charles.

    It's a cross breed/mutt/mix breed. If I had to go with something in particular I'd be calling him/her a King Charles cross.

    Your dog is three-quarters Cavalier, one-quarter Bichon. So, I suppose you're still within your rights to call him a Cavachon. Whatever way you look at it, he's not a breed (he can't be), but a crossbreed.

    Not a breed, Cavachon is not a breed either, its just a made up name when you cross a Bichon and a Cavalier.

    Your dog is a crossbreed/mongrel. No breed, sorry.

    If the pup's Cavachon 'grandparents' were pedigree Bichon and Cavalier, current terminology would label it F1b Cavachon. Not the ideal situation as the Cavaliers seem to have more inherited diseases (recessive so need a "bad" gene from each parent) than Bichons. Really good health checks of both parents would be advisable as well as of the pup.
