Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ings off Coutinho on is the wrong sub.

Bringing on Coutinho isn't really a tactic. At this point its a hit and hope job.

The one player that would have an understanding Coutinho gets subbed of for him.

    Ings obviously starting on Sunday.

    Origi has to finish that.

I am so sick of us being rubbish.

Origi showing glimpses but even tho he should have scored there was nobody in support there.

Shame the new manager hasn't been brought in in time for the Merseyside derby.

International break gives us time to get it done though.

Think Origi's movement has been a rare positive tonight. The finishing should come in time.

Can doing what he does best
Coutinho doing what he does best
Away goalkeeper doing what they always do best at Anfield.

It's time to stop the kop clapping them when they go towards the goal, it gives them superhuman powers.

    That doesn't mean it shouldn't.

    How much more of this?

Sion. This is Sion, and Liverpool can't do shi* against them.

    Unbelievable.

Apart from Origi shooting straight at his legs, has their keeper done that much?

He has made quite a few saves.

Emre Can need to be there, not at the back!

Nothing you wouldn't expect any half ok goalkeeper to make though.

How are the anti-Rafa lads watching this? Is this good enough yeah?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Ibe needs to come off for his own sake as much as anything.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,839 ✭✭✭Caovyn Lineah

I cannot believe there were some people who wanted Sterling sold because Ibe was a perfectly adequate replacement.

    ****ing keepers legs!!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,928 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Who needs Sterling when we have Ibe.

  • Registered Users Posts: 147 ✭✭Thidp

    OH FFS LALLANA

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,855 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

Why can our players not aim AWAY from the goalkeeper? Crazy thought I know, but they should try it out.

    No.

But if he's brilliant it fits a narrative - the narrative being that Rodgers needs time as the luck will turn, the players will start performing and eventually results will come.

You can't blame Rodgers too much tonight. Players train every day to put away simple chances like that.

Based on the number of shots we've kicked at his legs this keeper would be the second best keeper in the PL.

    After Mignolet.

    Stop shooting at the keeper

    FFS Lallana!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,308 ✭✭✭Pyjamarama

Some of our play has been really good but there's just such a lack of consistency and cutting edge.

Still not that bad a performance given we're playing with 9 men cause Rossiter and Ibe are invisible.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

    Rossiter got Coutinho killed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,910 ✭✭✭✭whatawaster

Rossiter looks absolutely lost at this level. Feel sorry for him a little as the team are playing so poorly, but he doesn't look like he has the attributes to make it at this level

Don't you dare slate Rossiter and his pointing ability.

If the Sion No 21 scores the winner the headline could write itself.

He's 18. We have bigger problems than young Rossiter!

The problem is he shouldn't be playing. This is not the game for him. I'm a fan of Rodgers and would take a win at the weekend over a win tonight but we have plenty of better options than him in the squad.

Seriously, someone shoot Ibe. He hasn't even got half a footballing brain. Typical English footballer, all pace and strength with zero end product.

I know he is young and hope he proves me wrong, but I don't know why is playing first team football for us and why Can/Allen aren't the midfield 2 today.

Can, Origi, Lallana, Sahko, Coutinho, etc - there's the guts of a very good team on the pitch but its going to take a better manager to get the most out of them.

I remember the hype around him a couple of years ago. :(

Of all the goals and assists Coutinho has got for us, have any of them come from free kicks?

Fourth 1-1 in a row for Liverpool?
