I lost my iphone and had a lot of photos on it .I have an icloud account but i have not backed anything up to it in a long time.My query is regarding whether there is anything which i can do to retrive these photos on the web or elsewhere

Did you have iCloud Photo Library enabled or did you disable iCloud backup in settings?

Have you tried going to iCloud.com and logging in? You can click on photos and look at all that are backed up

If you didn't back the photos up, then they are gone.
