    Hi
I would like some help with a new pc build. The main aim of the pc would be, cad drawings (solidworks), software development, gaming (the latest popular titles gta, bf, fallout ect) and streaming hd movies and tv shows. I would like to a high end machine therefore I would start saving for a while before I pull the trigger on the purchase. I filled out the questionnaire below and i suppose i am really interested if i need to adjust my budget.

I had a look at trying to fill a basket on Mindfactory but i stopped because i had no idea if the parts were compatible. I would be delighted if it was possible to squeeze in an i7 4790k and a gtx 980ti gpu.
also i may consider a second budget for a monitor.

    1. What is your budget? [€1500-2000]

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? cad drawings (solidworks), software development, gaming (the latest popular titles gta, bf, fallout ect) and streaming hd movies and tv shows.

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? no
    5. Do you need a monitor? Yes

5a. If yes, what size do you need. 27 inch would be nice. would the catleap or qnix be a suggestion?

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? [1920x1080/1440x900/etc.] [Yes/No]

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? yes Keyboard Mouse

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Yes but with a core i7 do i really need to?

    8. How can you pay? I have a visa debt card and a paypal account

    9. When are you purchasing? less that 3 months fingers crossed

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? no need for help

    Thanks
    guys

No all professional. Will be more of a personal computer but would like to do some work on it also. Cad and things like solid works. The reason for savings up is i need to buy a new car soon.

Apologies, it was quite specific for CAD :)

    Xeon 1231v3 €250
    B85M board €50
    16gb RAM €80
    600w PSU €70
    980Ti €750
    1tb HDD €50
    250gb SSD €90
    Case €100
    €1450 total
    €20 for Windows

Pick up a 1440p monitor, QNIX on otherwise. 980Ti is wasted on 1080p

Why have you chosen a zeon over the i7? Not much difference between them i presume... you get the over clocking with the i7?

Also is ebay the place to buy the qnix monitor?

    Thanks

You'll have to be doing some serious stuff to max out either a Xeon or i7, the Xeon is basically the same for you, but you can't overclock it yeah.

EBay I would think, the thread here has a few sellers in the OP.
