Charged €15 euro for about 2 months, gas was switched off the whole time

    Hi our Bill came on Octorber 1 for the [font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Billing period: 30 Jul 15 to 29 Sep 15[/font]


    [font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]It was €15 euro, is this the Standby charge, it doesn't seem right because we had the gas switched off the whole time.[/font]

    Thank you for getting in touch.

    The standing charge is a fixed daily charge on your bill and it applies no matter how much gas you use in your home unless you have had your gas completely disconnected. It is a combination of the fixed charges associated with providing and maintaining the supply of gas to your property, reading your meter and a share of the supplier costs in servicing your account.

    If you would like us to check your account for you, please supply us with the following:

    - Your full name
    - Your account number
    - The first line of your address
    - Your contact number or date of birth
    - Confirmation you are the account holder (a sentence stating this is sufficient)
