Guus said it was an academy player as they both challenged for a header.

Last thing we need anyway is for Costa, in this form, missing games.

So what are we expecting today? Bare in mind that Guus said that MAtic being suspended for the 1st leg of the PSG game there'll be changes.

I'd love if he made the call and palyed RLC next to Matic as it sounds like Mikel is going to be wrapped in cotton wool for the PSG game.

Just looking at the Newcastle midfield, theyre a much bigger, more physical side than us with Tiote, Shelvey and Sissokho playing.

Also theyve got the very dangerous Wiljandlum (sp) and Mitrovic too, Townsend is capable on his day too so theis will be a difficult game.

In the last 5 seasons no other side have taken more points against us than Newcastle so I'm praying for the 3pts here.

I'm the opposite then I think hes even worse there, his positional sense is all over the shop at the best of times.

Era, none of us expected to beat PSG but at this rate we'll be fielding the youths against them in the back line.

While Newcastle being ****e certainly helped, seeing Chelsea take an early lead and then build on it and try to score more was refreshing to see. Even managed to get one of the young guys in on the action.

3 points off 8th now, very doable. If you want to get really optimistic, 8 points off 5th.

I hope we see some of this attacking intent against PSG. In the last 2 years Chelsea were too conservative in their approach against them. They got away with it first time round thanks to Ba, but not last year. I fear though we'll see something similar again.

Costa is a boss, when he's focused on his football like has been of late there is no better striker for the club, I really hope we don't lose him.

Baba and Dave were both good.

RLC managed to show both the good and bad sides of his game in his short cameo. He needs to up his work rate.
