Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Look at the City team that started the League cup semi final and you get an idea of what they might do, its a very strong side though so it might change, the starting team that night was

    Caballero
    zabaleta Otamendi Demichelis Clichy
    Fernandinho Toure
    Delph Silva Sterling
    Aguero

I'd say a few of that team would be rested for the FA cup but theyve got Navas that could come in, the young Nigerian thats got a few important goals and Fernandinhos carbon copy, Fernando.

Navas injured so hes a no go.Lads relax we are going to be fielding a young side, there not bad but Chelsea at home should beat us.
Iheanacho Celina Kolorov/clichy and Fernando inlcuding the keeper there 5/6 players to go from the U21s.

FA should be fined for devaluing the competition, City should not be in that position. We have often been in City's position in the past and it is really a nonsense.

Game should have been played Friday or Saturday, I imagine the BBC/BT/ITV or whoever is showing it, pushed for a Sunday game but it should have been taken into consideration for Citys UCL away game, had it being played today it would have been good time for us to come back for Paris and to allow City an extra days rest too.

Hopefully 3 kids off the bench, more likely just 1... Will be interesting to see what team city put our now.

Surely he could have at least make the bench. City have 5 players making their debut today

Well done on reaching the QF fellas (and ladies). Go easy on us though, eh; they're young lads, and they bruise easily.

This is like a training match for us. You'd expect us to win comfortably in the 2nd half

I actually taught hazard looked ok today, not setting the world alight but at least he looks interested. Pedro looks to be having a ball alright.

    Another assist for hazard

I dont know what Guus is playing at not giving RLC game time over matic.

His contract still isnt sotted AFAIK and hes bern left on the bench with the game well and truly over.

Guus has no clue about the bench at times Im sure.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Weve missed a penalty and 3 chances from a few yards out this game could and should have been 6 or 7 at this stage.

Still though, handy win and into the 6th round.

    Good hand from Tbo

    Great finish from Traore.

    Hes a natural goal poacher.

Shocking from Hazard again. Behind oscar.

Why bring Oscar and Matic on? Especially Oscar when he's going to stroll around half arsed, also a disgraceful penalty from him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Vesc is right in the interview, if hazard wants the peno he should take it

Hazard made the wrong decision at the end alright but it was at the end of his best performance of the season. Traore having a dream start to his senior career.

Disappointed not to see Rlc or Kennedy

Good game, nice tune up for the players.

Delighted for Traore, Hiddink has done wonders for him. It suits him playing through the middle far more.

The youth will get a chance in the league, people need patience.

There was no point playing oscar or matic over RLC though it was 4-1 and nothing to play for.

I do agree that there is a time and a place for bringing on the youth but this was the time and the place in fairness. I suspect that Guus really wants to lift the FA cup.
