It's not a nothing game for Newcastle and Sunderland. We can't just show up against Spurs. Survival means upwards of £100m for either club, if it was Pool or Leicester I'd say play the kids but we would be hypocrites to play them now.

we're not newcastle or sunderland though, it means nothing for us, we're not going to go further or lower than our current position so its literally seeing out the season now he should have played a few of the youngsters.

We're not Leicester either yet we did everything we could to beat Spurs. It means something for the league. If we go out and half arse it youths we prove Pochetino right when was calling into question the professionalism of the rest of the league.

When you are playing teams who are involved in a scrap for relegation you are obliged to go out and play for the win, otherwise it casts ourselves and the league in a poor light and isn't fair to the other fans.

We've a squad we can choose to use at our discretion and given what Guus said, its laughable he hasnt even started 1 youth or Rahman today. He'll probably do the same against Leicester, its his choice but RLC at the very least should be playing over Mikel or Matic, both are likely to be gone in the summer at this rate.

As for Mikel, I'm struggling to think of a single game (out of 372 according to Wikipedia!!!) where he impressed me. A massively average player, he should have been sold years ago.

I'd agree with keeping Matic and selling Mikel. But I think that's a bit harsh on Mikel he's been a very good servant for us and had some good seasons.

I cant even say what I want or I'd have to card myself.

Started well, defended badly, scored, let in a goal, scored again, missed 2 1 on 1's and defended badly and left in 2 goals.
