Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What a player Willian has been for you, a model pro who deserves every success unlike some in that Chelsea team.

Zouma seems to panic quite a bit when the ball comes to him, lots of hoofing it as far away from him as possible.

Better than luiz teying flick it around a fella :o

Id take a hoof where theres no danger any day.

If Mourinho could just see the light and try RLC alongside Matic. Ramires is useless with the ball in the final third, he just runs around in circles.

    Arsenal 3 up.

Looks like 3 of us going through.

    Danilo showed great pace there.

    Costa was very slow, worryingly

Yeah he has to at least show awareness and be anticipating the barge, very poor. Reminds me of Torres, always seemed to think he had all the time in the world.

Aboid PSG and Juventus and ill be happy now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,405 ✭✭✭Lukker-

    Poor Remy.

Mourinho is a bit of a deceiver. He promised him a bigger role in the summer because Remy wanted to leave. He's played less this season then last. He has a bad habbit of doing that, he knew well he was keeping him around as emergency cover. Probably what I dislike most about Mou, his tendency to use players like that.

Deserved win, unlucky Porto going out.

Its the easiest looking 2 - 0 youll see in a long time.

Good game and we pressed well tonight, Fabregas has to stay on the bench for me, our midfield was much more in sync today. It was very advantageous getting an early goal because it meant we constantly found space in behind Porto.

I still mantain we'll struggle against teams that park the bus and Jose has to devise a system to break them down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,200 ✭✭✭hots

That'll do lads! Some nice performances and with any sort of finishing we win that by a couple more.

Zouma was great, Oscar and matic both improved a lot, willian just being Willian. All but Costa really and at least he did seem to be trying (Torres description of ever I heard one).

Surely that's enough to keep fab on the bench at the weekend?

After PSG, Benfica and Juventus i think the teams in 2nd are beatable.

Spot on. Fab can sit and watch for a while but you're right about breaking teams down. That's where ramires isn't good enough but for nights like tonight he has a role still.

Few positives from JT and Willians interview there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

13 pts. More than any English side.

Good to see 3 english sides though is good for the future co-effecient.

    Well done guys.

    See you in the final.

We've been like watching Torres in his final season with us. Sh!te, false dawn, and then sh!te again.
Let's hope this match breaks the analogy

Good performance, what a difference to matic when he has a proper midfielder next to him , way may energy throughout the whole team ,

A good spine for once courtois ,zouma, matic , Costa

Matic himself played well, kept it simple and was effective, apart from his stupid kick that leaves us missing him in the Round of 16 1st leg, he was good.

We have won the same amount of league games so far this season then we have in the UCL :o

Anyway, pretty pointless going through to be honest in the "Barca are definetely gonna win this cup" Cup.

    Sure there is

    More $$ for transfer

More exposure for the club to attract top talent

If we went on a run it'd lift the club.

A much improved performance tonight. There was some good play in the final third, good interchanges and much more direct, rather than the ****ing about we've seen for most of the season.

If Fabregas gets straight back into the side for Leicester I'll go insane.

Not many Liverpool posters in here after this game for some reason! Don't tell me they only come in to gloat when we have a bad game?

It's much better going through than coming third though, especially for smallish squads.

Thats how football supporters work across the world.

Nobody wants to know when you play well and win, its when you f**k up and lose is when you stick the boot in.

    :pac:

I'm assuming we all went to face Gent in the next round, they'll be the team everyone wants to play that won a group.

We cant face Arsenal or Kyiv so that leaves us with only 6 possibilities between us.

PSG, Juventus, Benfica, Gent, Roma, PSV.

Of those teams, my order of preference would be in this order, Gent, PSV, Roma, Benfica, Juventus, PSG.

So by my reckoning, avoid PSG and Juventus and we've a decent shot of making the QF's this year.

Got a funny feeling we will draw psg tbh. Would be a tough game but I reckon we'd give them a good game over 2 legs
