Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where are all the Arsenal fans to give it large like they usually do before they play us?

Yer not gone soft have ye?

    See ye tomorrow ;)

United to win by two or three to one.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,790 ✭✭✭Bret Hart

Going to go for a comfy 3-1 to Utd. Martial with 2 and Rooney with the other. Giroud to grab a late consolation.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

Nearly 3/1 United is a great price against a soft Arsenal side with no heart.

Something about that jersey that makes Arsenal turn to jelly. Van Gaal could put out 11 Rooneys and probably still get a result.

1-2, away win for the franchise with their 2 goals come no from their only 2 shots on target.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,016 ✭✭✭Hulk Hands

Is 'the franchise' a reference to United having an American owner?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

Arsenal also have an American owner, one who has zero interest in the club apart from having it as a cash rich asset in his portfolio. He also has started taking consultancy fees from the club equal to the amount which the club had taken in from ticket price increases.
We're nothing but a franchise to him either

No idea whats going to happen here.

Going to be a Snorefest or game of the season.

    I think 0-0 or 4-3 United

A draw here would be nice but Arsenal will probably Arsenal it up.

Will be backing Arsenal, think they will be too strong at home.

Because I'm a Liverpool fan and don't want to see either team win.

It shouldn't matter to Liverpool to who wins, the two teams playing will get CL spots as will city, and Liverpool are playing for the other spot with a host of other teams, this match doesn't affect the Liverpool season.

    Nothing except the result.
I don't think it matters for Liverpool, it would if Liverpool were in a position to challenge either team.
Your dislike changes nothing as either one team gets 3 points or both get one point.
I don't care what the result of the Everton/Liverpool game is as it will have no effect for my team. Though Brendan needs to win to keep the pressure levels down.

Being a grammar nazi should be a bannable offense. Annoying.

Anyway, Martial to run rings around this Arsenal defence. 3-1 for me

    2-0 to the Arsenal

    2-2 with lots of cards.

It can be difficult to read sometimes when the grammar is all over the shop. You should bring your bannable opinion to the Mods and\or feedback threads or just get over it really. Lots more annoying bitter posts on here. If anything I'm worse for biting so I'll apologise for that.

It's allowed... I don't do it myself and don't have a problem with it unless it gets bitter or nasty (in your case it didn't btw) but why do opposing fans especially rival fans feel the need to express that feeling? Especially if it doesn't affect their teams progress. just curious that's all. Not trying to start an argument :) maybe people are just different and feel the need to express everything :p

Getting back to the game itself I think it's too tough to call so I'm going with a 1-2 to United or a score draw.

    And we won 4-2.

    I'll take that.

If last season is anything to go by we perform much better against the bigger teams than we do against the so called smaller teams, hopefully that continues.

    2-0 united.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,022 ✭✭✭jamesbere

2-2, two United counter attack goals and arsenal penalty and Sanchez screamer from 30 yards

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,342 ✭✭✭Bobby Baccala

Can't see anything past a united win sadly, Rooney to score against us as usual.

No, Darmian will be at RB and Young at LB.

Probably the best possible team for United.

Young went to the right during the week, I wouldn't bet on it.

Hopefully Martial sh#ts all over Arsenals back four and more Henry comparisons to be made. :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,088 ✭✭✭Nib

Either way, there's two midfielders playing in our defence. Not ideal with Sanchez and Walcott running at them.

Looking at those teams, it could be a long day.

Seems the bookies have the odds backwards going by the predictions in here.

There's no real surprise in that back four though. Maybe Valencia instead of Young was the other option but still wouldn't have changed your point above.

Not sure who you were expecting to line out.

Let's hope poor officiating doesn't ruin this game.

    It's been poor lately.

I was expecting Luke Shaw to be back by now and Gary Neville to come out of retirement.
