Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Compose yourself Theo. No need to rush a shot there.

This is embarrassing from Liverpool fans, have some respect for yourselves.

I'd be more embarrassed about United's performance tbh. Shows where your priorities are.

Theo looked like he got caught there between a cross and a shot. Wanted the shot but knew he shouldn't be so tried to cross but ended up doing neither.

Hopefully his frustration at watching Alexis scoring will lead to more chances for him, as the rest of his game today has been brilliant.

    Should be 4.

    3-0 is a dangerous lead

Only with Arsenal and half time could make a big difference. If i was Arsenal id be looking for Alexis at all time now. He is on fire and his marker is on a booking.

Be realistic fella. United fans have been merciless in hammering Rodgers and his team this last few weeks. It's a two way street.

This Arsenal team today look unrecognisable from most of their other performances this season. Wenger will have an easy job at half time

LVG on the other hand has a lot to think about.

Can someone please explain what happened in the first 20 minutes to utd, without being hyperbolic

Pretty sure he is a Liverpool fan. And he is right. I find all sides of this boards rivalry to be cringey as ****.

Anyway, this will get the monkey off Wenger's back for a while again. He always seems to pull back when the Wenger out brigade gains momentum.

    I find Rooney impressive actually.

I thought he was toxic before, but he's a whole new level of bad today...

I'm waiting for Pro F to come along later and tell us how we are all wrong and that he did well again today.

Far too much dithering in defence there and not the first time today either. Get the feckin ball away.

Interesting that LVG looks at Valencia and Fellaini and thinks...

We are 3-0 down, they could make the difference

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,012 ✭✭✭✭titan18

Would have been a nice goal there

Herrera for Rooney and there's half a chance of Utd getting back in this IMO.

Yep hit if we had 7 subs, Rooney would still get 90.

Anyone for Rooney at this stage.

Poor set up from LVG. Slow CM, and no backup for fullbacks. Arsenal playing near perfect football and taking every chance that came their way.

United calmed it down after that but Ramsey should have made it 4 tbh. Martial should have got one as well. Arsenal will get more because United will be hit on the counter attack.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,711 ✭✭✭keano_afc

Well that was a whole load of fun.

Rooney, Schweinstiger and Darmian off for Herrera, Schneiderlin and Valencia.

    Won't happen of course.

Edit: never saw Herrera was out. Pereira so. Mata as 10. **** it go for the throat.

Herrera is injured. Not a very inspiring bench either.

Rooney getting a lot of blame.

In attack fair enough, but not much he can do for amateur defending

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,709 ✭✭✭✭Cantona's Collars

It'd be nice to see Memphis actually do something today,he's been on par with Rooney for shitness in that half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,740 ✭✭✭✭MD1990

Valencia would be a better RB up against Sanchez. Has the pace to handle him better in 1v1s.

Even Fellaini would be an improvement on Rooney, which says a lot.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    No Peirera!

Why were our frontline dropping back and allowing the arsenal defenders to pick their pass as they wish? Arsenal's movement of the ball makes us look like statues. You can't give them time to play through the lines.

Was thinking that when saw carrick was starting he was going to try control the game with patience as arsenal were up for it.
Shame arsenal decided to take their chances.

Poor team selection by lvg considering the pace Arsenal possess. If United can claw a goal in the first twenty minutes of the second half it could be a game otherwise it's a foregone conclusion and poor reaction to getting to the top of the league last week. The talk was all about Arsenal not approaching big games with the correct mentality before this game and it has been a masterclass from them, United set up poorly with two aging midfielders against one of the quickest sides in the league. Arsenal have done well to earn the three points but being three goals down is really symptomatic of poor decisions by lvg.

    Glazers Out!

That Ozil goal really was fantastic from start to finish.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,483 ✭✭✭brianregan09

I hope United throw everything at us in the 2nd half because it'll leave them wide open for us to counter attack and pile on the misery

Fellani and Valencia on, Darmian and Depay off

    Interesting.

I expect an injury or two with Fellani on.

Better from United but we can catch them on the break.

Why is Carrick not booked for doing worse than Coquelin?
