Site incredibly slow, and keep getting Cloudflare errors.

    Why does this keep happening?

  • Registered Users Posts: 46,103 ✭✭✭✭muffler

    Just got this

    Error 522 Ray ID: 2cc874330cda296f • 2016-08-03 08:38:54 UTC

    The actual time was 09:39

    Error 522 Ray ID: 2cc8742ff3ea2969 • 2016-08-03 08:38:46 UTC

Multiple Cloudflare errors indicating Boards is down- however, if I hit refresh it eventually loads.

Same as 'Muffler's' post- the time stamp on my Cloudflare error- is an hour out.

The time is in UTC so with summer time in effect we are on UTC +1.

I doubt that these errors are down to CloudFlare itself; more likely the Boards servers are taking too long to respond so CloudFlare gives up and sends a 522 timeout page.

    Load balancing down probably.

Just by way of a bit of info, UTC = Coordinated Universal Time
    http://www.timeanddate.com/time/utc-abbreviation.html

Local time here in Ireland at the moment (Summer Time) is UTC+1.

Click on a link for a thread update in an e-mail update from a followed thread- and get directed to a post a couple of pages behind the updated post (from several days ago).

The latest error message I got (when I tried to post a thread) told me I've been blocked, and displayed these two messages:

    Why have I been blocked?

This website is using a security service to protect itself from online attacks. The action you just performed triggered the security solution. There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data.

What can I do to resolve this?

You can email the site owner to let them know you were blocked. Please include what you were doing when this page came up and the CloudFlare Ray ID found at the bottom of this page.

I've been getting 'security certificate' warnings for the past couple of hours or thereabouts. Also, if I click on view 'last post' on one thread, I get bounced to, for instance, page four of twelve of a completely unrelated thread.

    BTW, I'm on my mobile.

Search is broken again, like what the f**k?! This is unacceptable imo. For most users it's a free site but for those who pay a subscription like myself, I'd like to be able to browse the site without vital components of it not working.
