Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

O'Neill doesn't have a clue what he is doing. Every game its a different team with no clear way of playing. I hope he is gone after these championships whether thats in November or somehow next June.

James McCarthy's personality is much like his play. Dull and boring.

Get so bored of the old "stone age football" guffaws and digs. I wonder will a day arrive where people learn that Ireland cant sign Messi or Xavi and we dont have a squad capable of the much loved "tiki-taka". Play to strengths and we can only use whats available to us.

I really don't want to watch this.

As has been shown in the past, when we play the ball on the ground we can hold our own, matched with a pattern of play and a style of some sort then theres no reason not to. Lump ball is out of date and we dont even have players capable of profiting from it. All lumping will do is give the ball back to Germany even quicker. Nobody is claiming we are world beaters but thers something to be said for some invention, guile and skill.

Murphy ahead of Long means that if there is a striker coming on its Robbie,

Long must be wondering what he has to do to get a start

Playing football would be a good start for him, 15 minutes in the last 5 games.

I would have started Long probably too, but it's not that incredible that he's not playing to be fair.

We dont have the players to match the ability of Barcelona correct or to emulate their style. However this fear of actually playing a more attractive game due to not having players is a joke. Many lesser nations manage with lesser resources and still attempt to play football. Nobody is playing long ball like its 1990.. its just not happening...

I bet every visiting team is baffled as to why they have to shake hands with a hobbit before a match in the Aviva.

No its all tiki taka. Nobody uses long ball anymore. If you watch more matches you'd see thats ****.

Also blaming Long's gametime is BS as he has played more than Ward.

The little fella with the cheeky wink as the camera panned down the line of German players was better :p

RTE player, perfect up till now, then just before kick off it loses all quality and becomes unwatchable. How is it that illegal streams are of a higher standard than the national broadcaster is able to produce?

    Goal Poland.
