For an installation of three wired sensors (this is after a window replacement, so the wires are there already) and replacing an old panel with one that has a GSM modem and can be controlled with an app, does €750 seem like a reasonable quote?

Anyone have any recommendations on the best ready-to-go SIM to use? Do you actually end up using the credit you put on it or does it just get wasted to keep the SIM active?

    Sounds reasonable.

Sounds ok to me as well. What Panel are you getting for that?

Would be a HKC 1070 hybrid.

Is a GSM modem definitely the way to go? Would a wifi card not be cheaper since you wouldn't have to pay to keep a SIM topped up?

A WiFi or Lan would would be cheaper if you were to go with any other system. With HKC you will have to pay an annual subscriptions for alerts and to use the app.
Take a look at the sticky re app charges with HKC vs other systems. Also look into polling times and smash and grap alerts. There are many big differences.
