Say, you get your maintenance and fee grant, to pay for all/most of your course, how much more would you have to spend ie. How much do you spend on food, clothes, night out, entertainment.

Also kinda important, I want to have some tech, how much would people spend on laptops and phones, speakers, tablets etc.

Finally, how much does it cost to run a car for the first time(insurance, petrol, tax)

A car will crucify you if you are on a limited budget. You won't be able to afford one that won't give you trouble, never mind the insurance issues.

Plus, a lot of colleges provide limited or no parking for students, so a car might not be a lot of use to you.

As for how much you need to live, much is going to depend on whether you are living at home with Mammy and Daddy, or financing your own gaff. And, if the latter, what kind of gaff. And where it is. As for how much you spend on technology? Nothing, until the technology you currently have breaks down. Then, as little as possible. On clothes? Again, not a lot, unless you have surplus cash. A couple of pairs of jeans and a few sweatshirts will go a long way.

I suggest contact the students union in the college you are considering attending. They are likely to have some information on budgeting, costs that you need to allow for, etc, and some essential tips on how to drag together the style of life you would like to have and the money you can afford to spend. (Hint: It involves a lot of compromising on both.)
