The roundabout at the Arc is crazy. Cars coming from Fonthill Road get driving on the roundabout in front of cars trying to get to St. Lomans Rd.

Looks as though that is being addressed now with addition of a footpath extending from St lomans road onto the fonthill and down to the small roundabout as you head towards the hermitage. There's also pedestrian lights across the on slip to the N4.

You have no idea how happy that construction work made me. The lights only go red when a pedestrian presses the light. I've been using the area as both a driver and a pedestrian and I love it as I'm not likely to be killed just trying to cross the road!

Lavelle has said the engineers are going to sort out the road markings down there. Obviously they've never done roundabouts before. Have you seen the markings over at the B&Q roundabout?

The markings there are fine, straight ahead from the left hand lane towards B&Q entrance roundabout and onto M&S or right hand lane towards lights on coldcut but the idiot class of driver you find around there decides to go right towards coldcut from the left hand lane.

Coming from Coldcut there are two sets of markings on the road. Those from Coldcut and those on the roundabout.

    So they may change them?

Apologies for the bump of a 2 year old thread, there is yet another set of pedestrian lights now going on the top of Lomans road just off the Liffey valley roundabout. The mind boggles at the location, further down the road at St Edmunds would have made much more sense.

Have to agree, no need to be so close to roundabout. Especially as some cars fly off the roundabout at speed. But do welcome at last a "safe" crossing.

Though wouldn't a walkway up above make more sense... Or zebra crossing. So annoying to see people hit the button and then walk straight across not waiting for lights to change

All those traffic lights metres from the roundabouts are dangerous.
