How to start producing music?

    Im 18, I want to start producing music, not so much djing but creating songs/beats and writing a song to them.
    Similar to The Weeknd some of Justin Biebers newer stuff (what do you mean.. Not Baby!)

    I have a decen knowledge of music and I've been playing guitar for 8 years..
    What do I need to start?

    Buy a multitrack or a DAW and start recording and experimenting. Sounds like you're well on the way, with quite a few years performance experience under your belt already!
