    Hi there
My son is in Glasan and having problems logging into Moodle
I bought him a new laptop and googled to find out there are compatibility issues but as he is there and I'm 2 hrs away just wondering is anyone around who had the same issue?

obviously he's a lad and wont ask and will kill me for even posting lol

Even a tip for me to try help over the phone at worst would be great

    Cheers guys

What issue is he having exactly? Can he get access to his student mail? He should drop an email to whoever the IT people behind Moodle might be.

Has he tried it on other computers, or does this just happen on his laptop?

If it works on other computers, it sounds like there's a problem with the laptop. Maybe he can get some advice from the people in the shop where he bought it. Is it only Moodle, I wonder, or an overall problem?

I don't know much about computers, but I use Moodle all the time, and I never have a problem accessing it from any computer. I use it on different computers at work, and on my home computer.

It is most likely the browser he is using, Chrome usually works well with Moodle, IE usually less reliable. Tell him to bring the laptop into the IT centre and one of the lads will surely help him. I used my ASUS without fail all of last year. Also a waste of time emailing 'the people behind Moodle' or going to a shop when he has an IT centre in the college who deal with these issues regularly.

Definitely try the IT centre, they're a great bunch in there. I'd say it really could be the browser though. Tell him to try logging in on chrome or firefox instead. Moodle has been really dodgy the last few days so I suppose it could just be that he caught it every time it was down. I doubt it though.
