It might not be a bad night if you were to head out again. The bz is pointing south at the moment.

    Forecast for 23:00.

had a look earlier just a faint green glow (with a 13 sec exposure )

30 second exposure at ISO 1600 from sandyford shows nothing but an orange glow on the northern horizon.
Im probably being very very hopeful at getting anything from here anyway!

Greenish glow - N direction, orangish glow - NNW direction.

went up the wicklow mountains a bit to get a view over dublin.
Could make out the faintest hint of green on the camera but its barely discernible. Disappointing but expected.

Too much light pollution in the city of monksland and 1 too many beverages to go driving for a proper look :(

One I got near Knock Airport about 12.20. I missed the best of it with clouds, all the rest of the sky was perfectly clear. Cold got me too :( It was to get stronger again around 3/4am but I headed home. (photo is soft, had manual focused but never tapped the focus ring, again!) This was just from a Jpeg, I've to process the raw files yet, fingers still frozen!!!
