Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Imagine if everyone had to take an ECG right now.

Ireland are going to concede again. They're making the poles look like world beaters - just handing them possession time and again. Not even attempting to keep the ball

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,632 ✭✭✭✭Sand

The scrappier and more nervous this is, the better for Ireland.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,306 ✭✭✭sonic85

Brady with a woeful ball there. Just try and pass the ****ing thing around a bit and keep the pressure off us

Whelan is an embarrassment at this level.

The difference in the quality of our passing without me is huge, he's woeful and not what we need in such a big game
    Wes?

Missing the coolness of Hoolahan tonight.

Our passing is dreadful. Brady and McClean on the left side are absolute rubbish. The former is not a good defender at all. O'Shea has had to cover his ass more than once tonight and if he's not careful, he'll get himself sent off because of his ineptitude to track the runner.

    Mc Clean is rubbish.

Keough looks like somebody dragged off the street, the state of him! :pac:
He has the look of a gurrier about him alright. I don't think he'll be getting too many nominations in the handsome footballer thread!

Brady is a liability at left-back. Don't think it will be long before Wilson comes on for McClean and Brady gets pushed up to the wing.

    polish fans are real whiners

Poland pressing. I would have thought Ireland would have been at least as assured, defensively, as Thursday. Need to get things steadier in defence.

Richard Keogh - just say no kids

I really hope George Hamilton doesn't go and jinx us tonight.

    With any luck.

Hopefully this myth about McClean can go away now

Keogh looks like he'd a few pints during the ruggers match

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,243 ✭✭✭✭briany

Keogh has a mad thousand yard stare on him. I wonder would it aid him in delivering good long balls?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭irishguitarlad

We are going to lose lads, never has the one man made such a difference(hoolahan). And hoolahan us no world beater himself, he just can keep the ball. By the way krychowiak is class.

Richard Keogh looks like he's been playing 120 minutes in Manaus.

He jumped out of the way of what was the polish goal , not committed, they need rid of him

    Brady is all business

Wow, Lewandowski is such a cheat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

They're going down far too easily.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Lewandowski constantly going down at the slightest touch. Wouldn't be surprised if he wins a dubious penalty at some stage.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 7,129 ✭✭✭my friend

Long keeps it up and the poles will be punished

It's a Bayern thing. . . Whenever it looks as if they're not going to win they dive and invariably get penos

In a crazy world were Georgia beat Germany tonight and this finishes 1-1. Who goes through?

    Mcarthy been missing.

Is he still on the pitch?

    Long just never stops running.

O'Shea is having an awful game. Very close to a second yellow already.

Some very sloppy play here from Ireland.

Us and Poland as group winners.

Mc Clean off, Brady to LM and Wilson to LB now before we go behind again.

We'd go through as group winners with Poland in second.

    Stupid by McClean.

Can't see us winning this, it's all Poland. . Get hoolahan on ffs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Have we won a second ball yet? Painful to watch us hoof it to Long with nobody anywhere near to challenge for possession.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,564 ✭✭✭✭whiskeyman

McClean v lucky not to have a yellow by now.
    Has done nothing but foul.

Just googled Keogh to check his age; he's only 29. Christ, he must have had a tough weekend job when he was growing up!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,304 ✭✭✭madcabbage

We'd go through as group winners with Poland in second.

Would it not be the other way around with the current score?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,116 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

We'd go through as group winners with Poland in second.

with a 1- draw we are behind Poland so we would go through as runners up in the group.

    Whelan's biggest contribution so far.
